This is the first Main$treaM album as a band. The band formed in 2006 to fight mediocrity in the new preppy cool anxiety age of cultural intolerance & retail therapy addiction. The album started with just mic making an entire album, mainly glitched jungle tracks, and during this process, a friend: Yiani started playing guitars to “The Maf” & “Desert Storms” –it sounded great. After initially discounting it as a novelty, the project expanded into a “almost wack, bastard child of Aphex Twin, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zep, & Metallica before the haircuts” –ed.
Soon after, Rosa & Tom joined the band, writing original pieces & solo’s that help make the entire album sound as one track. A soundtrack. It’s certainly a hi tech futuristic music with all the cool old metal and rock you almost think you know. For original songs, they seem so familiar so immediatley listeners have remarked. There is a rumour it will be a movie- more on that later.
The album breathes, as it billows out of the speaker’s -in and out for 47 minutes, it is definatley ‘some kind of monster’. M$ HigH is alive….Bringing back the epic feeling songs without boring you to death. Songs like 'Getting Rid Of Arseholes' and 'Desert Storms' - lines like "No More War" points the finger right at the worlds war mongers. Culture used to run opinion, somehow reality has seemed distorted since 2001. so much so, Main$treaM needed a voice this time around. The album is full of vocals, clarinets, flutes, violins, bass, synth bass, guitars & many instruments. All the performances are real & live, piano, keyboards, guitars, bass, violins, recorder, drums & many many other instruments are all real & recorded at the institute. No time stretching or pitching on guitars- all speeds are real. No pitch correction or processing on the vocals at all. The beats are played drums, played percussion, triangles, & shakers with a mixture of classic jungle breaks & original programmed loops. This album contains no serious levels of amen abuse.
Over all Main$treaM HigH the soundtrack, sounds like a pretty freaky school. Apparently the inspiration was that some of the band felt the world had gone very bland in too many ways. The fear that is out there now…the types of drugs people are abusing on mass…the escapism people are chosing..the types & amount wars they are waging (and why) …the mediocrity people are embrassing, the intolerance & racism they are expressing- all now seemingly normal day to day life. All stuningly displayed in Ultra sickuts –Anxiety Time For Preppy Cool Crystal Meth collage` -the centre spread poster for the Main$treaM High album. Enduring this cultural climate far too long, the band went back to school –to MAIN$TREAM HIGH 1987! We picked up everything we liked about music when we were 15years old & merged it with what we love about music today. Hopefully tracks like 'Getting Rid Of Arseholes', 'Desert storms", 'Friendly Corporate Tyranny' & all of it really will inspire change, -big change, get the 1950’s big daddy mindfuk war loving child killers OUT- you can do it!

This is an entertaining exploration of glitchish, industrial, ambient & really altered beats. It is TWO CD's on one single Compact disc. To confuse matters further, the artists decided to place volume 2, first in the track order....once heard, it is obvious that the progression of the music was a major focus. It starts off with a very short ambient intro & then we are led into a strange ultra warped beat scape with deep rich textured ambience. Taking glitch to new vistas along the way. By the time the 2nd (err first) volume comes on- it becomes decidedly different. Longer even deeper songs which have a more noise focus than the Main$treaM VS Lucas Darklord pieces. Except for the last piece "Everydays" - apparently, an excellent example of corporate rock & techno- this one is the "single" you could say.. and it features vocals by lionel jones junior III.
As far as describing the music on this latest CD, it's almost as if glitch went too far and ambient got mean & more interesting. This album is a terrific stay in a demented future sound world of deconstruction into oblivion. It has layers & textures that are sublime, it has beats so mulched & abstracted - It reminded us of older warp records we liked, but harder & more scary. One minute you are hearing the strangest beats or ambient noise - and then a sublime piano riff will chime in- say like in "CASH FLOWS" - the arrangements of the piece is something else. Starts off with a quote from Lars Ulrich & descends into something you don't expect. None of this detracts from the experience. It's surprising & diverse.
We have never seen wave forms like the ones that came from the work that Darklord & M$ did @ Pernicions Hall- None of the people that saw these wave forms could believe what they looked like- and sound like. It really baffled the professionals & that alone offers a unique/ sound /listening experience. The sheer raw sound they create, is so different, it's like nothing else we have ever heard -its a must hear!!!! But of course, it's in the arrangement of the album, that helps this CD be what it is. This CD feels half the length it really is... that is something LUCAS & Main$treaM really strived for.. and they achieved it.
It's a fantastic exploration into abstract noise, glitch, ambience & much much more... ?Top Tracks: "Cash Flows" & "Weapons Of Non Existence" from the first songs & (To) take The Reigns & How God Rapes (Literal Reading) from the Darklord noise side.

Inspired by M$'s childhood love for Aussie pub rock - a future experimental jungle & various fakecores CLASSIC! Gritty, tough but sublime & hilarious as well. It covers the full range of fakecore fields for 2005- this record transcends genres & wipes it's dick on the curtains as it leaves. The record starts with a classic wagga artist piece: Strategically Located Cameras- a piece made in 2000 foreseeing the reality TV over kill banality we currently live with. Speaking of WAGGA> this record actually has FAT FUCKIN WIERD UGLY CUNT (ffwuc) ON VINYL, FINALLY someone did that!!! Same goes for the Wheelsfalloff "Door Bitch" track! Can't wait to spin that CHANNEL 9/ A Current Affairs on the decks!!!!!
It doesn’t stop there.....LINE 47, absolutely brings the place down every time it's played >the track: LOVE TO HATE- it's possibly the best song on this comp! A monster on the dancefloor and uses a sample that certainly sums up the feeling of this comp! DOORMOUSE, one of the better, hard doormouse tracks (feat. BILL COSBY!!!! ) - They are becoming rare.... One of the best Passenger of Shit songs in years - TURDS UP YA ROTTEN BEEF rivals classics like "Crush Your Enemy". Drill Bit supplies a ripper of an old school sounding Newcastle track, almost fraughman like in excellence- but possibly more fun? Xians track just rips the bass & the classy breaks have been tested on dancefloors to major satisfaction. Electromeca- just sublime, layers & intense structures that build aural pleasure, Toe cutter, is as fantastically crazy as ever, but we feel this is really one of the best toecutter tracks to date! Killjoy & k5k take out the best comedy act duo of the volume, with hilarious remixes of GUNS AND ROSES & CONCORD DAWN- seriously hilarious & rockin! The Main$treaM track is from the year 2038- total jungle terror from somewhere else, but slick & seriously well produced, Princo from KILL-BOT recordings GEELONG- provides a fantastic word cut up- as they are known best for, all about Jesus so you know it's good!
Dysphemic provides more futuristic drum n bass mayhem with BIOENHANCED a very slick & powerful piece proving once again this producers awesome talents. SKEETER, a brilliant cut up amen classic with some familiar sounds -a dancefloor hit, 20 knives & Dusk Governor rip shit up with a hilarious scream number & the ANGRY TEENAGERS WHO WANT TO KILL PEOPLE- excel at their game to hammer a huge distorted kick, with amazing jungle breaks & bass. 9MM 's Str8 up remix, is tearing down the clubs everywhere it's played -it has the most unique cut ups and it FUCKIN PUMPS HARD - so too does BEER BEER BEER by Kid Dynamite- sobering short pub ditty.... Shitmat's "BOOM SHAKE BOOM" is a hilarious but seriously danceable remix of Will Anderson's Boom Shake The Room.... And the record closes bringing your attention to your arse's with FELTCH DAYS- by Max Prophet$- these guys are the new William S. boroughs of John Laws poetry Vinyls. -possibly one of the funniest & well-considered word cut ups I have ever heard....and loud as fuck!

These are the finest towers in town, be seen at THE place, M$ Towers. A ride through rough terrain - this ones not for the faint hearted. An incredible fakecore album... the hottest, hardest jungle comedy ever. At diner in Melbourne mic was been told buy a store owner that, artists like sonic youth & the red hot chilli peppers purchased this vinyl at the store whilst on tour & enjoyed it alot. Main$treaM's responce was "Strange that people like that even knew about this music" PFFS believes this is possibly the last really hard underground M$ album (like this) for a long time. It reminds us of a classy and better version of Main$treaM Power, hence the name similarities. This album has the first Volume of tracks that appear later on the Truck Drivin Muzak PFFSCD4. The tracks on this record are the most requested out live by a long shot. It features the infamous 'Speed Kills', 'Anymotha Fuckers' & 'Street Sweeper' in 1999 -2000 A new semi post shitcore began. This ep was funded by Bloody fist records, cut in The Chez republic, with the plates lost, it's a collectors item now.

Main$treaM once convinced the JJJ (1998/9??) unearthed winners 'The Tenants' from Bathurst to allow a remix of their song (see OLDE EDDY track)...they didn't ever get back to us ...lol Also Toecutter was the one to encourage the inclusion of the so called remix "'Rockit' BLAME HIM- it's the lamest pop remix ever- Main$treaM did one edit/change...hi- lighting what he thought was the true essence of bastard pop remixes at that time....This track does not appear on the itunes & other MP3 stores because it brings talentless to all new even more under-whelming levels -and people including the label & original artist kind of missed the point. Sorry for any hurt caused. Thankfully Main$treaM moved into the fakecores & trying to please at least some listeners after this lemon.

This one was mainly remixs of th esame tracks on Main$treaM Power PFFSCD01- extremly lame & dubious concept alarm bells start ringing straight away..another boring snow job from the original shitcore king. These tracks were mainly made with another artist THE TEMPLE VOMIT aka Dave I. in a house in Lawson. Kind of like a GREATEST HITS (presumptuously) of the first album. It's way worse than the first CD but slightly better than the 3rd CD. The main thing was to be very boring, super long tracks & meaningless themes abound. M$ Power was pretty advanced for it's time -conceptually...with 2SER radio classics like the song Main$treaM Power & You Are Ugly, this is a classic in the shitcore world. Who would have thought major rave parties & venues would book M$ & he'd play a led zeplin beat over samples from a hair removal ad? This music reflects the response to the introduction of info-mmercials on television in the 1990's in Australia. It seems as though M$ didn't leave the house much or the TV off at this time of life. Fucking hillarious...and shit as! Bad in a very very good way.

Seen here above. It started in 1993, with the "disco death" tracks, some appear on the 'Main$treaM Power' album. Serious early experiments in shit-cores, these albums are really bad. The shitcore time spans from 1993-1999 (R.I.P) this is not trendy well crafted & considered hardcore that claims to be shit, this early M$ is the REAL DEAL REALLY totally shit, 110% back in the day original SHITCORE. Brought back by popular demand... Main$treaM has no excuses for these piles of crap, yes they were intentionally shit & annoying, kind of a reaction to the times you could say. Mark N once remarked " This older shitcore Main$treaM is like STUNTROCK- before STUNTROCK!"
The First one PFFSCD1 sold an astounding 500 (plus) CD's and it still amazes us to receive emails & requests for it. It is by far the best one of the shitcore trilogy. This freaked Main$treaM out & the next 2 albums sold less and less...The second album, is fairly aweful, but by the third album, you start to see why the Main$treaM project had to take an artistic turn -You could argue that it really was pushing the point too far, it got too pointless, too insulting & unplayable...gigs dried up Main$treaM songs got written less, the ideas dried up & it died.

These days you still can still hear some of this earlier style in the new Main$treaM -however, these albums are unique in their way too longness, way too annoying-ness & underproducedness. Viewed within the context of the times, that was the agenda of Main$treaM's first 3 projects before the sound changed & never really came back to this old crusty flavour. They are now available again in the MP3 format only, at the painfree store & itunes etc.
